I was lucky to get an invite from a good friend to take a 'MANCATION' up to NJ and NYC for the Redskins-Jets pre-season game this past Friday. We had a blast on the Jersey Shore, at the game, in the city and touring Staten Island... lots of pictures as you may imagine.

Oh yeah and while pre-season doesn't matter - it was nice to win... GO SKINS!

Great trip all around, here is the initial batch from the game. First impressions are that I love the high ISO performance of my D300 and I'm pleaseantly suprised by the sharpness of my 75-150 E-Series MF nikkor - and by extension my own focusing skills that I was really calling into question based on the LCD at the game... lesson learned - stop 'CHIMPING' and shoot!

Rex Grossman, back up quarterback for 2010-11 season.

Here you see him leading Santana Moss (#89) on a crossing route from right to left... the pass was off target and incomplete.

Donovan McNabb, who didn't play but has made a big splash in Washington as our new quarterback... I must say I found the JETS fans to be extremely civil and everyone I saw enjoyed the game with good sportsmanship!

Yikes, LT on his way to breaking his 40+ yard run on his way to over 80 on the game. He looked good, Skins' rushing defense will need some more work.

Brian Orakpo (#98) however does his best superman impression here but misses the tackle.

I was told that the styling of the metal cladding around the new stadium is in memory of the Twin Towers... definitely easy to pick up on in the look of the stadium and in my opinion well done. I was very impressed with the new facility.
