This was taken during the Worldwide Photo Walk on July 24, 2010 in downtown, Phoenix, Arizona. I have never noticed this sign before.
Three images each two stops apart merged in Photomatix and polished up in Photoshop CS4. Canon 30D and Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS lens.

Three images each two stops apart merged in Photomatix and polished up in Photoshop CS4. This is a handheld shot. Okay, I cheated a bit. I had both elbows propped on the wall of the parking garage, which is across the street from the stadium. This was originally a very flat and lifeless image. I popped the color saturation in Photomatix as I remember seeing it while there. Then I made a selection of the sky in CS4 and saturated the gold light over the horizon. Canon 30D and Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS lens.

I tried this as an HDR shot in Photomatix, but I got some bizarre moire in part of the shadow areas. I wasn't willing to spend time in Photoshop fixing it, so here is the non-HDR shot. Canon 30D and Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS lens.
